Gillian Beaumont Legal is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director to work in a new division of a Commonwealth Government Agency administering a recent high-profile Commonwealth Scheme.
The successful candidate will be required to work with the legal team to develop submissions, documents and approaches for the conduct of AAT applications. You will work on implementing action to reduce a backlog of AAT applications, and will work to manage risk and enhance the Agency’s reputation with the AAT.
Our ideal candidates will be reliable, have sound judgement and be able to take responsibility in a small team. The proven ability to take on responsibility to deliver complex outcomes, and to anticipate and manage risk will be highly desirable.
While these are non-legal roles, candidates with a legal background or knowledge of administrative law processes would be highly regarded. Candidates who have experience administering or managing processes around Commonwealth schemes will also be highly regarded.
These positions will be offered on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. A competitive remuneration package is available, to be negotiated on the basis of experience. The Government Agency supports flexible working arrangements, and we are open to considering applications from part time candidates.
